Two energies, not two attitudes
The explanation runs on the basic energies from the symbols, and specifically on two of them.
Instinct energy is what makes belief natural. It accepts without requiring a chain of reasoning, and it is not a deficiency — it is how a being operates before analytical capacity has developed, and it works.
Intelligence energy is the analytical faculty: the demand for how a thing is known before it is accepted.
The shift from one being dominant to the other is the whole story. Faith does not weaken because people become worse, or because the arguments got better. It weakens because the faculty it runs on is receding as another advances.
That is why the video treats atheism as a stage rather than an error. On this account it is the predictable state of a being in whom intelligence has outgrown instinct while nothing has yet developed that can reach further.
Why the framing is fairer than it sounds
Calling something a stage can be condescending, and it is worth noticing why it is not here.
Every position in the scheme is a stage, including the one the video is arguing from. Nobody is at the end. What is being described is a sequence everyone passes through, and the analytical demand that produces atheism is presented as an achievement rather than a fall — the same reading given to materialism in the intelligence climate.
The one-life problem
The section titled one life only is where the video identifies the actual cost.
Atheism as such makes no claim about how many lives there are. But in practice it arrives bundled with a single-life assumption, and that assumption is where the difficulty lands.
Within one life, the accounting will not balance. Talent, circumstance and fortune are distributed without regard to anything, and there is no frame in which that resolves. So meaning has to be either constructed personally or given up — and the video's point is that this is a consequence of the bundled assumption rather than of the atheism itself.
The problem stated
The closing section names it directly, and it is the same limitation identified in will religion fade away: atheism is a negation. It establishes what is not the case, and a denial cannot supply a direction.
As a correction to unfounded belief it does its job. What the video argues is that it is a waypoint rather than a destination, because the questions that made religion necessary are still standing after it has done its work.
